The Mountaineers are hitting the road, and the West Virginia University Alumni Association wants alumni, fans and friends to join other Mountaineers in cheering the football team to victory against Louisville and Pitt.

The association welcomes those traveling to the final away games to pre-game activities scheduled for these road games.

Fans can cheer on the Mountaineers at the Parrish House (2791 S. Floyd St., Louisville, KY, adjacent to Papa John’s Stadium) before the Mountaineers take on the Cardinals on Saturday, Nov. 20. The cost of the event is $25 and includes hamburgers, hotdogs, sides and a cash bar. Reservations should be made in advance by signing up online at http://go.wvu.edu/924Zcy by Nov.18.

Fans heading north for the Backyard Brawl should plan to join the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter and WVU Alumni Association for a “Rockin’ with the Mountaineers” pre-game event at the Hard Rock Caf� at Station Square. Live music by the Gingerbeards, food and a cash bar will be available for $20. Alumni and fans should register for the WVU-Pitt pre-game event online at http://go.wvu.edu/924Zcy Nov. 24.

“We invite all WVU fans to join us in rallying behind the team before they play in the final games of the season,” said Stephen Douglas, president and chief executive officer of the WVU Alumni Association. “We hope to see everyone bringing their gold and blue on the road to cheer our team to victory.”

The final pre-game events at Louisville and Pitt will begin at 9:30 a.m. Kickoff for both games is scheduled for 12 p.m.
