Four candidates have been named as finalists for the post of dean at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. Each will meet with School of Dentistry faculty, staff, and students over the next several weeks and speak at an open forum at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center.

The four finalists are:

  • Angelo J. Mariotti, D.D.S., professor and chair of periodontology in the College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University
  • James A. Lalumandier, D.D.S., professor and chair of community dentistry at the School of Dental Medicine at Case Western Reserve University
  • Gerald N. Glickman, D.D.S., professor and chair of endodontics and director of graduate endodontics at Texas A & M Health Sciences Center/Baylor College of Dentistry
  • Louise Veselicky, D.D.S., interim dean of the School of Dentistry at West Virginia University

“I would like to express my thanks to Dr. Scot Remick of the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center and his colleagues on the search committee,” Christopher C. Colenda, M.D., M.P.H, chancellor for health sciences, said. “Their work brought forth a highly qualified set of applicants for this important leadership position.”

  • August 25, 2010 – Dr. Mariotti
  • August 30, 2010 – Dr. Lalumandier
  • September 1, 2010 – Dr. Glickman
  • September 8, 2010 – Dr. Veselicky
