Anne Marie Lofaso, an associate professor at the West Virginia University College of Law, can provide background and expert commentary on the effectiveness of regulation on coal mine safety.

Lofaso teaches courses in employment law, labor law, law and socioeconomics and related seminars. She is faculty adviser to several student organizations including the Moot Court Board; the Women’s Law Caucus; and the Labor Law Society, an organization dedicated to educating people about the rights of workers.

Between 2007 and 2008, she served as the faculty adviser to the West Virginia Law Review’s Symposium on coal mine safety, Thinking Outside of the Box: A Post-Sago Look at Coal Mine Safety.
