MORGANTOWN, W.Va. —Spring has finally sprung, and dormant plants and animals are returning to Morgantown. The Core Arboretum offers guided wildflower walks, bird walks and special group tours, as well as a beautiful setting for weddings and other special events.
Wildflower walks begin at 2 p.m. the last three Sundays in April— April 11, 18 and 25. Groups interested in participating should assemble at the main entrance. There is not cost for the walks, which last around two hours, and no reservations are necessary.
Bird walks occur early on weekday mornings in April and May. Birders of all levels of knowledge are welcome.
Guides are sometimes available for pre-arranged group tours during regular working hours.
Subject to availability, weddings, memorial services, worship services and meetings may be held in the Arboretum by prior arrangement.
