Instead of going to the beach, students can head home for Spring Break with the help of West Virginia University’s Mountaineer Parents Club.

Reservations for Spring Break bus transportation are currently being accepted and will last until all spots are taken.

Currently buses are being offered to Allentown, Pa.; Hagerstown, Md.; Secaucus, N.J. and Philadelphia, Pa.

“We are happy to partner with the WVU Department of Transportation to provide this service to students. Families are so appreciative that we are helping them get their students home safely for major breaks,” said Sabrina Cave, executive director of the Mountaineer Parents Club.

The buses depart on Friday, March 26 at 1:30 p.m. from the Mountainlair and 2 p.m. from the Evansdale Residential Complex. All buses return to Morgantown on Sunday, April 4 around 8 p.m. Because the return date falls on Easter this year, the Parents Club has worked to make the bus return times later than usual.

Some local Parents Club chapters are also offering buses; a complete list can found on the Parents Club Web site at http://parentsclub.wvu.edu/schedules .

The Allentown, Hagerstown, Secaucus and Philadelphia trips cost $150 round trip or $100 one way.
