West Virginia University Associate Professor Dengliang Gao is available to speak about the recent earthquake in Chile.

Gao, who earned his doctorate in geology and geophysics from Duke University in 1997, has done extensive research in the areas of seismology and tectonics.

He currently teaches courses on planet earth, 3D seismic visualization and interpretation, seismic attributes for subsurface geologic characterization and geological hazards in WVU’s Department of Geology and Geography.
