A redesigned and easier-to-use WVU Intranet (http://intranet.wvu.edu) will launch Monday afternoon, giving University faculty and staff a streamlined Web site specifically tailored to their information needs.
Whether it’s information on a new or updated University policy, a notice about payroll, salaries or health benefits, or news about an event or new employee program, the WVU community will find the latest and most complete information on this site.
It has been redesigned for functionality, efficiency and navigational ease, using new underlying software.
The redesign also means intranet users no longer have to be on campus to view the site. With the new software, if you are on campus, you will not have to log in; off-campus users will log in with their MasterID and password.
Being able to log in off-site is a great enhancement for the Health Sciences divisions, Extension, the Farms, WVU Tech, Potomac State and faculty on sabbatical or traveling.
There will also be some Web pages attached that incorporate an easy way to find commonly used forms, calendars and other useful links.
The site will complement the current E-News notices, which direct employees to the Intranet for more detailed information.
