Parking along Monongahela Boulevard near the West Virginia University Coliseum will be restricted beginning the week of Oct. 5.

WVU Police strongly encourage all students and employees who currently park along that stretch of road to find an appropriate, legal parking alternative.

In some areas the signs will restrict parking from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, as to not interfere with special events held at the Coliseum. However, the intersection of Monongahela Boulevard and Patterson Drive will be strictly enforced as a tow away zone at all hours.

After next week, anyone who parks in the areas during restricted hours will be ticketed and/or towed.

The restriction is a joint effort between the West Virginia Department of Highways and the City of Morgantown to increase safety.
