Students in WVU’s Community Arts Program now have the opportunity to take classes in the Bruceton Mills and Brandonville area of Preston County. Registration is going on Sept. 29.
Take a digital photography or basket weaving class in a picturesque setting at the Brandonville Town Hall, or enjoy a jazz dance class at the Bruceton United Methodist Church.
Get a bite to eat at the area favorite, Little Sandy’s, and don’t forget to end your day by stopping in for an ice cream treat at the Mill Stone!
Classes being offered in Preston County include:
Basketweaving for Beginners (ages 10 to adult)
A one-day session to be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with a lunch break) at Brandonville Town Hall.
Introduction to Digital Photography (ages 13 and up)
Six 90-minute sessions, to be held Mondays, Sept. 28 – Nov. 2 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Brandonville Town Hall.
Ballet (ages 4-5 and 6-8)
Six 45-minute sessions, to be held Fridays, Oct. 2 – Nov. 6, from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Bruceton United Methodist Church.
Jazz Dance (ages 6-8)
Six 45-minute sessions, to be held Thursdays, Oct. 1 – Nov. 5, from 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Bruceton United Methodist Church.
Jazz Dance for Adults
Six one-hour sessions, to be held Thursdays, Oct. 1 – Nov. 5, from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at Bruceton United Methodist Church.
Creative Modern Dance (ages 4-5)
Six 45-minute sessions, to be held Thursdays, Oct. 1 – Nov. 5, from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at Bruceton Mills United Methodist Church.
Drawing Fun for Kids (ages 7 to 12)
Six one-hour sessions to be held Thursdays, Oct. 1 – Nov. 5, from 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at Brandonville Town Hall.
Classical Drawing Fundamentals (ages 13 to adult)
Six one-hour sessions to be held Thursdays, Oct. 1 – Nov. 5, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Brandonville Town Hall.
