With a large crowd of alumni and friends expected Thursday (Oct. 1) for the WVU-Colorado football game, the West Virginia University Alumni Association will welcome visitors to an open house at the new Erickson Alumni Center.

Alumni and friends are invited to stop by beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing through 3 p.m. Volunteers from the Association’s Emeritus Club, one of the Association’s constituent groups, will be on hand to provide tours of center.

“So many alumni return to campus for football games, and we wanted to provide an opportunity for them to see our new alumni home,” said Stephen L. Douglas, president and CEO, WVU Alumni Association. “We have a wonderful group of Emeritus Club volunteers who are ready to showcase this magnificent facility.”

Tours of the facility will take place from 10-11 a.m. and from 2-3 p.m. Light refreshments will also be provided. Parking in the alumni center parking lot will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Due to game day parking needs, visitors will not be able to park in the lot after 4 p.m. unless they have an alumni game day parking pass.

The evening will wrap up with the Alumni Association’s “Game Day” celebration in the Mountaineer Courtyard beginning at 5 p.m. Alumni and friends may purchase advance tickets for $10/person by calling the Alumni Association.
