Transportation Week at West Virginia University is happening now through Sept. 18 and Mountain Line Transit is challenging WVU students, faculty and staff to ride the bus instead of driving with its Ride the Bus and Win Competition.

The top four WVU students, faculty or staff with the highest ridership during Monday-Wednesday at midnight this week will win cash on their Mountie Bounty Card.

The person with the highest ridership (defined by the amount of trips using their WVU ID Card) in the allotted time will win $50, second place will win $25, third place will win $15 and fourth will win $10. The winners will be announced on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. in the Mountainlair in front of Hatfields. Mountain Line will also have an information table set up all day.

WVU students, faculty and staff can always ride Mountain Line buses for free with a valid WVU ID. For more information about WVU Transportation Week, go to http://transportation.wvu.edu. A complete set of rules and more information about the Ride the Bus and Win Competition is available at http://www.busride.org.
