West Virginia University’s Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity will hold a bell-ringing ceremony Friday (Sept. 11) in remembrance of sophomore Laura Derry.

The service will begin at noon at Oglebay Plaza on WVU’s Downtown Campus.

Derry, 26, was a pre-interdepartmental studies major from Petersburg. She died on Aug. 26.

Family, friends and members of the University community are welcome to attend Friday’s ceremony. Individuals who would like to speak should contact Lauren Lagana, memorial bell-ringing chair, at 304-993-7254.
