West Virginia Universitys University Relations will be shooting a new WVU TV commercial at Club Octane on June 18 featuring a performance by Scott Simons.
The popular song,Start of Somethingwas used in last years WVU commercial and the new commercial will include brief excerpts of the concert performance and the live audience participants. Previously, Scott Simons was member of the popular Morgantown-based college band, The Argument.
The commercial is scheduled to be taped on Thursday, June 18 at 6:30 p.m.Those who are interested in participating should arrive by 5:30 p.m.After the commercial shoot, the Scott Simons band will perform a free concert as a thank-you to their fans. Club Octane is located at 218 Walnut Street, formerly Rosewood Theater.
To ensure the best possible results for the University, participants are encouraged to follow these guidelines:
Try to wear WVU school colorsGold and Blue
Since TV regulations can be very strict, if possible, please avoid corporate logos. The more non-descript the better.
Participants will have to sign a talent release
Please be at Club Octane no later than 5:45 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
