West Virginia University is seeking financial donations and supplies to help communities in flood-ravaged southern West Virginia.
The Center for Civic Engagement will set up collection booths from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. through Friday at various campus locations (schedule below). All contributions will go to the Southern West Virginia Flood Relief Fund.
Items needed include bleach, cleaning supplies, rags, buckets, diapers and personal hygiene items. Cash and checks (payable toSouthern West Virginia Flood Relief Fund) will be accepted.
With hundreds of families in southern West Virginia affected by the recent floods, people have been asking how they can help,said Kim Colebank, director of the Center for Civic Engagement.We wanted to do our part to help those in need, and we know we can always count on the generosity of the WVU community.
