West Virginia Universitys Department of English will celebrate the success of six graduating students in the Master of Fine Arts in creative writing graduate program with a reading of published prose and poetry on April 30.
The reading will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Mountainlair Gold Ballroom and is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided courtesy of the Rudolph P. Almasy English Department Endowment.
The following students will be featured:
Matt Buchanan, of Indianapolis, has published poems in Bat City Review, Phoebe, Smartish Pace and Versal.
Sarah Beth Childers, of Huntington, has had work nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her writing appeared in Paddlefish and SNReview.
Lori DAngelo, of Pittsburgh, has written stories and essays appearing in Hamilton Stone Review, Pequin, Red Ink Journal and Stirring.
Rachel Rosolina, of Hampton, Tenn., has published essays in The Broken Plate and Slab.
John Shumate, of Marion, Ohio, has had work appear in various venues.
Erin Veith, of Rock Cave, has published poems in The Joinery.
