WHO: Army ROTC students from West Virginia University , West Virginia State University and James Madison University

WHAT: About 80 WVU Army ROTC studentswill participate in various combat training exercises involvingday/night land navigation, patrolling, squad scenario tactical exercises and weapons ranges.

WHEN: Friday, March 27, at 10:30 a.m. until about 2 p.m.

WHERE: Camp Dawson, Kingwood (NOTE: Members of the media are asked to be on time and meet in the parking lot to be escorted to the training site.)

BACKGROUND: WVU s Army ROTC program provides individuals with the tools, training and experiences they need to become officers in the U.S. Army. There are approximately 250 students currently enrolled in the program. In 2008, WVU s Army ROTC program was recognized as the best program in the Eastern Region and was awarded the General Douglas MacArthur Award.
