West Virginia University College of Business and Economics professor Nancy McIntyre has been named the colleges associate dean of academic affairs.

Dr. McIntyre brings to this position an extensive background in human relations and organizational behavior research, having made numerous contributions to textbooks and articles in publications such as the New England Journal of Entrepreneurship and the Journal of Organizational Behavior,said William Trumbull , interim dean of the College of Business and Economics.

McIntyre received her bachelors degree in sociology from Illinois State University and masters degree in marketing from the University of Illinois. She has a doctorate in business administration from the University of Rhode Island.

Since joining the WVU faculty in 2002, McIntyre has served regularly on numerous college committees and held offices in several national organizations. She developed an Internet marketing course for the University and led several community service-learning projects. McIntyre also teaches management and organizational behavior courses in the Department of Management and Industrial Relations.

In 2006, McIntyre received an Innovation in Teaching Award from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Other recognition includes an Outstanding Service Learning Course award from the WVU Office of Service Learning (now known as the Center for Civic Engagement ) and induction as a fellow into the Association for Business Simulation and Experiential Learning.
