High school students interested in attending West Virginia University are encouraged to attend an information night from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, in the Mountainlair Gold Ballroom.

Representatives from Admissions and Records , Financial Aid , the Mountaineer Parents Club and other WVU programs will give presentations and meet with students.

Families will also have the opportunity to talk one-on-one with admission counselors. Pizza and beverages will be served.

Students who have not applied for the fall semester are invited to bring their completed application materialsincluding paper application, ACT /SAT test scores and high school transcriptsto receive an on-the-spot admission decision. Students who bring their completed forms will also receive $5 off their application fee.

If students have waited to submit an application, this is the perfect opportunity to get it reviewed on site and get a discount on their application fee,said Kate McKeen, associate director of Undergraduate Student Recruitment.

At the end of the night, students and their families will be able to meet with WVU staff to learn more about scholarship opportunities.
