* WHO : West Virginia University Center for Civic Engagement, WVU student volunteers and community members

* WHAT :* Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service: WVU student volunteers and community members are participating in two service projects honoring King. They will visit senior citizens through In Touch and Concernedand paint, clean and assist Rock Forge Neighborhood House, which recently moved to the Sabraton Community Center. The WVU Center for Civic Engagement is coordinating the projects and sponsoring transportation to and from the sites.

* WHERE :* Rock Forge Neighborhood House at the Sabraton Community Center, various locations in Morgantown

* MORE INFORMATION :* These service projects are among hundreds of activities that states and cities are organizing to honor Kings legacy. In 1994, Congress passed the King Holiday and Service Act, directing The King Center and the Corp. for National and Community Service to carry out a day of service reflecting the civil rights leaders life and teachings.
