Basketball fever has hit West Virginia University.

As excitement builds for the WVU -Delaware State University matchup in the Las Vegas Invitational at the Charleston Civic Center, the WVU Alumni Association encourages Mountaineers in the Kanawha Valley area to attend a live broadcast of theBob Huggins Statewide Sportslinefrom 7-9 p.m. Monday (Nov. 24) at the Charleston Marriott. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

In addition to showing their gold-and-blue pride during the MetroNews Radio broadcast hosted by WVU play-by-play announcer Tony Caridi, audience members will have the opportunity to mingle with the mens basketball coach and pick up some great WVU giveaways. Several surprises are also being planned for fans.

WVU alumni, friends, fans and their guests are welcome to attend this free event. Participants are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item or make a cash donation at the event. Proceeds will go to Mountain Mission in Charleston.

The Mountaineers are set to square off against the Delaware State Hornets at 7 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 25) at the Charleston Civic Center. Tickets can be purchased at the Charleston Civic Center Box Office or by calling 1-800-WVU-GAME.
