The West Virginia University Symphonic Band, along with the WVU Womens Choir, will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre of the Creative Arts Center .

Conductors include John Hendricks III , Dearl J. Drury , Christopher J. Nichter, Matthew Smith and Daryl Finley.

Hazo;Elegy for a Young Americanby Ronald Lo Presti;Colonial Airs and Dancesby Robert Jager;Lonely Beachby James Barnes;Hands Across the Seaby John Philip Sousa;American Facesby David Holsinger; and selected movements fromEnglish Folk Song Suiteby Ralph Vaughan Williams andLincolnshireby Percy Grainger.

The Symphonic Band is a 60-member ensemble open to both music and non-music majors. Membership is through audition, and the students learn and perform standard and modern concert literature.
