An Italian puppeteerwill pull a few strings when he gives a talk at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at West Virginia University .

Paolo Parmiggianiwill speak on”The Theory and History of Italian Puppetry, both Burattini and Marionette”in the Bloch Learning and Performance Hall of the Creative Arts Center .Hisappearance will be as a guest lecturer in the Division of Theatre and Dance inWVU’s College of Creative Arts . The event is free and open to the public.

Parmiggiani is affiliated with the Italian Museum of Puppetry in Parma, Italy. Hehas a bachelors degree in art from the University of Parma and a doctorate in art from the University of Naples.
