As we hit a crucial midway point in the season, including Thursday nights nationally televised game against Auburn, its up to us, the Mountaineer faithful, to commit ourselves to providing the best fan support possible.
In the spirit of a fun, safe and family-friendly atmosphere, please display a healthy respect for our team, your fellow fans in the stands, to visitors and the opposing team.
Mountaineer spirit has always been about pride and passion, so please demonstrate that special excitement and enthusiasm that are so unique to WVU fans. Please help make Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium a welcoming and fun environment for everyone.
Recently, Morgantown was ranked 25th Best Sports City by Sporting News, and our Mountaineer mascot was just listed among the Top 10 college football mascots by Andrew Kneeland, senior writer for Bleacher Report, the open source sports network.
Lets show America that these rankings are for real. In fact, Thursday night is designated aGold Rush,so remember to wear your boldest WVU gold to the stadium.
A reminder: If you do encounter a problem at the game, fans may call 293-FANS to report a problem or text WVFAN to 72645. Fans will immediately receive a bounceback message on their phone that reads something like: We are sorry for any inconvenience you are experiencing. Please text your section, row and seat number and nature of your problem to 72645, and a guest services member will respond. Fans can then send their seat location and problem to the database operator who will alert security.
Security officers are also located at the top of the stadium concourse as a resource.
Remember: Violators may have their season tickets or student ticket privileges revoked and face fines and arrest.
