Faculty from the West Virginia University Division of Music will present the recitalMusic for All Ages by Musicians of All Ageson Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the Creative Arts Center .

The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 6 p.m. in the Bloch Learning and Performance Hall .

The program features music by women composers, including theThe Story of Babar the Little Elephantby contemporary composer Margaret Griebling-Haigh. This popular childrens story tells how the little elephant became king. It will feature Cynthia Anderson on oboe, Andrew Kohn on double bass, Christine Kefferstan on piano and Catherine Thieme as narrator.

Faculty will also performMovement for Double Bass and Pianoby Johanna Beyer (1888-1944) andSonatinaby Grazyna Bacewicz (1909-1969).
