Its time to update that resume and make plenty of copies. West Virginia Universitys Fall Career Fair will be from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, in the Mountainlair ballrooms.

The fair, sponsored by the WVU Career Services Center, is open to all majors and features job and internship opportunities.

David Durham, director of career services, invites all undergraduates and recent graduates to attend.

This is a good opportunity for all students, not just seniors,he said.Freshmen and sophomores should come to scope things out and learn about networking.

With more than 100 employers participating, job seekers will have ample opportunity to network with top companies and government agencies such as AT&T, the Internal Revenue Service, WVU Hospitals and more. For a complete list of employers, go to http://www.wvu.edu/~careersc/ and click onWVU Fall Career Fair.

Career fairs are a traditional approach to job hunting, Durham said, and nothing beats a face-to-face experience.

Career fairs continue to be one of the most efficient and popular recruiting tools at college campuses,he said.

Those attending should dress professionally, bring several copies of their resumes and take business cards when offered, Durham advised.

The Career Services Center will offer special seminars on how to prepare for the fair. These will be Monday and Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the center in the Mountainlair. For more information, visit http://www.wvu.edu/~careersc/ . Click onMountaineerTRAK Seminar Seriesor call 304-293-2221.
