The chairman of the Harley-Davidson board of directors will speak Friday, Sept. 26, at West Virginia University .
Jeffrey Bleustein will recountThe Harley-Davidson Story: A Wild Rideat 11 a.m. in 113 Mineral Resources Building on WVU s Evansdale Campus.
Bleusteins talk is part of the Glen H. Hiner Distinguished Lecture Series in the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources . The event is open to the public, and a reception will follow in the Mineral Resources Building atrium.

Harley-Davidson is the nations leading heavyweight motorcycle manufacturer. Since joining the company in 1975, Bleustein has served in many capacities, including vice president of engineering, vice president of parts and accessories, executive vice president, president and chief executive officer.
In 1981, he was one of 13 executives who bought Harley-Davidson from its parent company, American Machine and Foundry Co.
He also is an avid enthusiast, owning an Electra Glide and a V-Rod motorcycle.
Bleustein earned his bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University and his masters degree and doctorate in engineering mechanics from Columbia University.
He is a member of the boards of directors of the Brunswick Corp. and Kohler Co. From 2002-03, he was a member of the Presidents Council on the 21st Century Workforce.
The Glen H. Hiner Distinguished Lecture Series is named in honor of the successful alumnus who in 2005 established an endowment to support the deanship of the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at WVU . Hiner graduated from WVU s Department of Electrical Engineering in 1957, then embarked on a 35-year career with General Electric. In 1992, he became CEO of Owens Corning.
He has served on several College of Engineering and Mineral Resources advisory committees. He is also a visiting professor in the WVU College of Business and Economics and a member of the WVU Foundation board of directors.
