The University Chapter of the WVU Alumni Association will host its 24th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, July 11, at Lakeview Golf Resort&Spas Mountainview Course.

All alumni and friends of WVU are invited to participate in the event. The cost is $75 forUniversity Chapter members and $80 for non-members. Registration includes cart and green fees, prizes, on-course beverages and post-tournament reception at Archies Lakehouse.

Registration begins at noon, followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. To register your team or request more information, contact Randy Christopher at rchristopher@hsc.wvu.edu or call 304-293-2522. Proceeds from the event benefit the University Chapters Scholarship Fund.

Each year the Chapter provides scholarships to deserving students in Monongalia County who want to attend WVU . Last years recipient was local student Brian Pilon. The annual golf tournament serves as the primary fund raiser for the scholarship program.

The University Chapter of the WVU Alumni Association helps keep WVU alumni and friends connected to their Mountaineer family. Members of the Chapter participate in social activities, such as game-watching events and the annualCountdown to Kickoff,network with other professionals, and help the community through special projects such as Habitat for Humanity and Adopt-A-Street.
