Golfers will hit the greens of Lakeview Golf Resorts Mountainview Course on Saturday, July 19, in hopes of raising some green for the West Virginia University Rosenbaum Family House.

This is the seventh year for the tournament that features a shotgun start with 18 holes of golf and a four-player scramble. Participants are provided with a golf cart and tournament gift bags and are eligible for prizes. Free refreshments are available on the course during the competition. The tournament is followed by an awards ceremony and pig roast at Lakeviews University Hall.

Proceeds benefit the Rosenbaum Family House, which offers a home environment for adult patients and their families receiving extended treatment at WVU Hospitals and the WVU Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center. The Family House has served as a home away from home to more than 6,500 families from all 50 states and 15 foreign countries.

The four-story building is located on the WVU Health Sciences Center campus and connects directly into Ruby Memorial Hospital for easy access to medical care. Its 26 hotel-style guest rooms and laundry facilities provide the privacy and conveniences of home. Two common kitchen areas are fully equipped with appliances and cooking and eating utensils. Lounges provide a comfortable relaxation space with access to books, puzzles, videos and games for family enjoyment.
