Outstanding Teachers:

  • Cindy Beacham, assistant professor of interior design, Division of Design and Merchandising
  • Harry Boone, associate professor of agricultural and extension education, Division of Resource Management
  • Kristen Matak, assistant professor of human nutrition and foods, Division of Animal and Nutritional Sciences
  • Todd West, assistant professor of horticulture, Division of Plant and Soil Sciences
  • Robert Whitmore, professor of wildlife and fisheries resources, Division of Forestry and Natural Resources

Matak and West shared the Davis Colleges 2007-08 Outstanding Teaching Award.

Outstanding Researchers:

  • Debby Boone, assistant professor of agricultural and extension education, Division of Resource Management
  • Louis McDonald, associate professor of soil science, Division of Plant and Soil Sciences
  • Todd Petty, associate professor of wildlife and fisheries resources, Division of Forestry and Natural Resources
  • Jianbo Yao, assistant professor of animal and nutritional sciences, Division of Animal and Nutritional Sciences
  • Jay Yoo, assistant professor of fashion design and merchandising, Division of Design and Merchandising

Yao received the Davis Colleges 2007-08 Outstanding Research Award.

Outstanding Service:

  • Jim Armstrong, associate professor of wood science and technology, Division of Forestry and Natural Resources
  • Cheryl Brown, assistant professor of agricultural economics, Division of Resource Management
  • Gene Felton, assistant professor of animal and nutritional sciences, Division of Animal and Nutritional Sciences
  • Jim Kotcon, associate professor of plant pathology, Division of Plant and Soil Sciences
  • Barbara McFall, assistant professor of interior design and interim director, Division of Design and Merchandising

Kotcon received the Davis Colleges 2007-08 Outstanding Service Award.

Honorees were selected by the colleges Peer Review Committee.

P. Brett Kenney, professor of animal and nutritional sciences in the Division of Animal and Nutritional Sciences, was recognized as Outstanding Advisor by a vote of the Davis Colleges student body.
