West Virginia University’s Michael Gansor was one of only four higher education risk managers awarded a University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA) international fellowship.
The award �€only in its first year �€includes an all-expense-paid trip to London May 12-17 to experience best practices in the risk management field at Lloyds of London, Cambridge University, Kings College and other prestigious educational and business enterprises.
Gansor has been the risk manager at WVU since 1997. He will join a prestigious group of URMIA fellows from California Polytechnic Institute, Boston University and Auburn University in experiencing the program.
Associate Vice President for Finance Dan Durbin called the fellowshipa unique educational opportunityto work with brokers, underwriters and other global insurance professionals, noting Gansor wasan outstanding choice to tour and study with the best in his field.
