The West Virginia University womens cross country team received public recognitionThursday (April 24)by the NCAA for its latest multiyear Academic Progress Rate (APR) score.

The NCAA is honoring Division I sports teams with public recognition awards for their latest multiyear APR scores. These teams posted multiyear APR scores in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports. High-performing teams receiving awards posted APR scores ranging from 965 to a perfect 1,000.

The APR provides a real-time look at a teams academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress and retention of each student-athlete. The APR includes eligibility, retention and graduation in the calculation and provides a clear picture of the academic culture in each sport.

Multiyear APR scores for all of WVU s athletic teams will be announced by the NCAA in early May. More detailed information is available at .
