The West Virginia University Division of Social Work is hosting a symposium addressing the problem of homelessness Saturday (April 12).

Dignity Without a Home Address: National and Local Perspectives on Homelessnesswill be from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in Durrett Hall at the Erickson Alumni Center.

Speakers from national organizations and local agencies will cover a variety of topics aimed at educating participants and inspiring a collective effort to assist the growing homeless population.

Participants will learn about national groups and policies that impact the homeless and local programs that assist people in Morgantown.

The event has been approved for a maximum of 4.75 hours of continuing education units (CEUs) for licensed social workers in West Virginia. The cost for CEU credit is $20; those interested should bring a check payable to WVU or cash (exact change only) to the event.
