* WHAT :* West Virginia University officials will be announcing the signing of an agreement between the WVU Research Corp. and IC INOVA Inc., a private consulting and advisory company, for research associated with the development of solid state lighting technology. The $1 million agreement will fund 23 months of work by members of the WVNano Initiative, a WVU organization that promotes interdisciplinary research in the field of nanoscale science, engineering and education to improve the quality of materials, extraction of light and electrical efficiency of light emitting diode (LED) technology.

Also in attendance will be Toshiya Fujiki, president of IC INOVA , Japan; Koichi Akiya, vice president of IC INOVA , Japan; John Lee, president of IC INOVA , U.S.; and Clifford Ito, chairman of the board of IC INOVA .
