Learn how to be a Zumba instructor or take a class in the Latin-inspired fitness program this week at the West Virginia University Student Recreation Center.

Zumba incorporates hip-hop, cumbia, merengue, salsa and other dance styles to create a high-energy workout.

Zumba education specialist Erick Santana will teach a master class and instructor workshop.

The master class will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday (Nov. 2) and is open to the public. The cost of the class is $10 per person. Tickets must be purchased in advance by contacting Gemma Hughes at 727-686-2071 or fitnessbygemma@yahoo.com .

The instructor workshop will be from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 3). All dance fitness enthusiasts are encouraged to become a certified Zumba instructor.
