The West Virginia University College of Creative Arts is hosting a Scholarship Audition and Open House Day from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 27) at the Creative Arts Center.

The event is designed to give students and families an opportunity to see everything that WVU has to offer. Participants will attend special workshops, meet current faculty and students, tour facilities, see performances and learn about life and the arts at the University.

Students will also have the opportunity to audition for scholarships. The college has openings for talented and dedicated students interested in studying art, music, theater and dance. Scholarships are available for majors in all of these areas.

To qualify for admission and scholarships, music students must complete an audition, and art students must complete a portfolio review.

Although the programs in theater and dance have an open admission policy for all areas, students interested in scholarships must complete an audition and interview to qualify.
