West Virginia Universitys Division of Social Work is offering conflict resolution training to social workers and licensed professional counselors Oct. 18-19 in Morgantown.

The two-day course runs 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. in Room 101B at the National Research Center for Coal and Energy (NRCCE) on WVU s Evansdale campus. Cost is $165, which is reduced to $80 for WVU students and faculty.

Deadline for registration is Monday, Oct. 15.

Attendees will earn 16.5 social work continuing education credits; 14.25 licensed professional counselor hours; or 5 hours toward a continuing education certificate in Nonprofit Management through the Division of Social Work.

Course leader will be Ellen DeBenedetti, M.Ed., a training coordinator for the Pittsburgh Mediation Center and Center for Victims of Violence and Crime. The interactive sessions will be a mix of lectures, discussions and role-playing exercises.

WVU s Division of Social Work in the School of Applied Social Sciences, which operates in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences.
