West Virginia University Head Football Coach Rich Rodriguez continues to make his mark on college football, and alumni and fans have a chance to recognize his success by voting him Liberty MutualsCoach of the Year.

Liberty Mutual, an affinity partner of the WVU Alumni Association, presents the Coach of the Year award to the football coach who most embodies the characteristics of responsibility and integrity on and off the field. Initial voting will continue through Nov. 27. During the week of Nov. 28-Dec. 4, the top 25 coaches from each division (I, IAA , II and III ) are scored using an objective evaluation model endorsed by the College Football Hall of Fame. Fans, as well as selection committee members, will have an opportunity to vote for the 2007 Coach of the Year from the field of 25. Fan votes are combined with votes from select Hall of Fame members and members of the national media to pick the 2007 Coach of the Year.

As part of this special promotion, ABC will air six half-hourRoad to the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Yearspecials (2:30 p.m. ET), hosted by Keith Jackson and Kirk Herbstreit. These specials will feature some of todays most respected college coaches, including Coach Rodriguez, who will be featured on Oct. 20.

Winners from each division will be announced on Dec. 29 at 5:30 p.m. ET during a half-hour ABC /ESPN special which will profile the four winners. In addition to the coachs award, Liberty Mutual will donate $50,000 to each coachs charitable or civic organization of choice, as well as a $20,000 scholarship fund through the alumni association of each coachs school.
