Is gambling going to cause problems or create opportunities for the state?

That will be the focus of Wednesdays (Sept. 5)Feedbackshow on West Virginia Universitys U92 FM student-run radio station.

WVU faculty members and experts will take part in the discussion, the first in a special series on current issues, which airs at 7 p.m. on the award-winning weekly news talk show.

The topic of table games has stirred up controversial debate in several counties statewide during the past few months,said Jafar Amjad, U92 promotions director.While the legislation in favor of gambling in West Virginia has already been passed, the topic is still on the minds of WVU students, professors and various organizations.

Featured guests and interviews on the program will include University professors and experts on gambling addiction and state economics, as well as coalitions for and against the table games decision, he said.
