Put on your shades, because the future looks bright for Morgantownis a new Web page,http://shades.wvu.edu, developed and launched by WVU News&Information Services.

The content is largely based on a recent study by WVU s Bureau of Business and Economic Research which shows Morgantown will be among the fastest growing areas of the state during the next five years for jobs, income and population. The research concludes that WVU is clearly fueling the positive statistics.

The Web page details highlights of the findings and lists many of the recent national rankings in which the city of Morgantown fared well. It also contains a video segment featuring study author and WVU economist George Hammond explaining the research findings, and links to other pages where visitors can learn more about Morgantown.

The page will be linked from other popular University Web sites, including WVU s home page,www.wvu.edu, and WVU Today,http://www.wvutoday.wvu.edu

Officials hope the new Web page will serve as another tool in efforts to market the University and community to people from afar who are looking to attend classes or work at WVU .
