West Virginia University will be offering a series of free fall protection training classes in September for residential construction workers and supervisors.
An instructorfrom WVU Safety and Health Extension will travel to seven locations to present the three-hour training class. Each class in the following cities will run from 9 a.m.-noon: Pittsburgh, Pa.Sept. 5, MorgantownSept. 6, Harrisburg, Pa.Sept. 11, Philadelphia, Pa.Sept. 12, Hagerstown, Md.Sept. 13, CharlestonSept. 18, and BluefieldSept. 27.
An instructorwill discuss fall hazards that occur during each phase of residential construction, and safe alternatives will be presented for several potential fall hazards that often occur during home building and construction.
