Stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan will bring hisBeyond the Paletour to the WVU Creative Arts Center Sunday, Sept. 30. Showtime is 7 p.m.

As a stand-up comedian, Gaffigans clever, quiet style has earned him an unprecedented number of appearances on both CBS “The Late Show with David Letterman”and NBC s”Late Night with Conan OBrien.”His recent one-hour Comedy Central special, CD and DVD all entitledBeyond the Palehave catapulted him to one of the top five most popular touring comedians in the country today.
Gaffigan is the creative force, co-writer and voice to all the characters in thePale Forceanimated series featuring two pale-skinned crime-fighting superheroes that bare a striking resemblance to Gaffigan and OBrien. Twenty episodes ran on the Internet with Gaffigan premiering the episodes monthly on”Late Night with Conan OBrien.”In its first season,Pale Forcewas nominated for both a Broadband Emmy and a Webby Award. The new season premieres Sept. 24.
Gaffigan has proven himself a major talent beloved to a wide range of audiences, achieving milestones in stand-up, acting and writing. As approachable as he is edgy, he is responsible for some of the funniest and most memorable moments in recent television (prime-time, cable and the late-night circuit) and film.

Tickets for the WVU show range from $36 to $46, depending on seat location. WVU students receive a $5 discount on all price levels with a valid Mountaineer Card. The WVU student discount is available at the Mountainlair and CAC box offices only.
