Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum recording artist Akon coming to WVU Coliseum Sept. 14
Senegal-born soul singer Akon is coming to the WVU Coliseum Friday, September 14. The concert is set to begin at 8:30 p.m. and will include special guest Yung Joc with additional artists to announced at a later date. Tickets go on sale Saturday (August 25) at 10 a.m. and may be purchased at the Mountainlair Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, online at ticketmaster.com or through the Ticketmaster Phone Center at 292-0220.
Akons multi-platinum debut Trouble was his ode to redemption, having served time for car theft before his music career took off, and his hit singleLocked Upearned him street credibility. His sophomore album, 2006s Konvicted picks up at his rebirth. Akons mission is to reinvent himself through his salvation�€music.

Tickets range from $31 to $39, depending on seat location. Floor tickets are general admission, while the upper and lower concourse tickets are reserved. Tickets go on sale Saturday (August 25) at 10 a.m. and may be purchased at the Mountainlair Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, online atticketmaster.comor through the Ticketmaster Phone Center at 292-0220. WVU students may purchase tickets in any price level for $27 with a valid Mountaineer Card at the Mountainlair Box Office only.
Ticket sales at the Mountainlainlair Box Office will be done by Random Number Distribution with number distribution beginning at 9 a.m.
