West Virginia University fans who cant make the trip to Huntington Sept. 8 for the WVU -Marshall football game can join fellow Mountaineers at Appalachian Power Park in Charleston to watch the game on the parks Jumbotron.
WV Power, WVU Alumni Association, Mountaineer Parents Club, WVU and the Kanawha Valley Chapter of the Alumni Association are teaming up to host aPigskinparty for alumni and friends of WVU .
This is a terrific opportunity to reach out to the nearly 8,000 loyal alumni living in the Kanawha Valley area and bring everyone together to support our football team,said Steve Douglas, president and chief executive officer, WVU Alumni Association.We are pleased to partner with WV Power to provide a venue for fans to bring their families to the park and enjoy this unique event for alumni, families and friends of West Virginia University.
Gates will open at 10 a.m., and the first 1,500 fans will receive a special giveaway. Admission is free. Fans will have an opportunity to participate in games for prizes, including baskets filled with fun WVU items. In addition, visitors will be able to view video highlights of the Mountaineer Marching Band and Mountaineer football team on the Jumbotron.
Visitors can enjoy the Power Parks stadium seating and purchase concessions at the event. The game will be televised on the Jumbotron with play-by-play from Tony Caridi on V100 radio. No outside drinks or food will be permitted inside the stadium.

The event also provides students and parents with a unique networking opportunity.
