The West Virginia University Alumni Association is taking its pre-game show on the road. Alumni and friends who are traveling to cheer on the Mountaineers in the coming weeks can stop by one of the pre-game events hosted by the Alumni Association and area alumni chapters.

We are excited about traveling around the country this fall to mingle with fellow alumni and offer a gathering place for fellow Mountaineers,said Stephen L. Douglas, president and chief executive officer, WVU Alumni Association.These pre-game events allow us to build connections and enjoy one anothers company, while showing our support for the football team.

The schedule for away pre-game events is as follows:

  • Marshall * 7:30 -11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Field House. Cost is $20 and includes parking, a bag breakfast, cash bar, WVU Bookstore souvenir stand and live entertainment.
  • *Maryland * 47:30 p.m. at UMUC by Marriott. Cost is $20 and includes hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, chips, soda, water, and cash bar.
  • *South Florida * 58 p.m. at Raymond James Stadium. Cost is $20 and includes BBQ buffet and cash bar
  • *Syracuse * Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel&Conference Center. Cost is $15 and includes heavy hors doeuvres and cash bar. (Time to be announced)
  • *Rutgers * Corporate Tent Village. Cost is $25 and includes hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks and other beer. (Time to be announced)
  • *Cincinnati (Nov. 17) Great American Ballpark. Details to be provided at a later date.
