A bell-ringing ceremony is planned for 11:50 a.m. Friday (April 13) outside Elizabeth Moore Hall on West Virginia Universitys Downtown Campus in honor of a WVU student who recently died.

Alan Dressler, 43, of Keyser, was killed in a head-on collision Thursday (April 5) on W.Va. 5 in Braxton County. He was studying in WVU s Doctor of Pharmacy Program and had a bachelors degree from WVU in biology.

Dressler was one of the Universitys 2003 Outstanding Seniors, an honor that recognizes students for exceptional scholarship, leadership and service.

Family, friends and members of the University community are welcome to attend Fridays service. Individuals who would like to speak should contact the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity at 304-293-3071.
