Students interested in being part of the arts at West Virginia University can learn more on Saturday (Feb. 10) by attending Scholarship Audition and Open House Day at WVU s Creative Arts Center from 9:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

The event is designed to give interested students, parents and families an opportunity to see everything WVU s College of Creative Arts has to offer, as well as the opportunity to audition for scholarships.

The College has openings for talented and dedicated students interested in studying art, music, theatre and dance. Scholarships are available for majors in all of these areas.

Participants will also attend special workshops, meet current faculty and students, tour facilities, see performances and learn about life and the arts at WVU .

To qualify for admission and scholarships, music students must complete an audition. Art students must complete a portfolio review.

Although the programs in theatre and dance have an open admission policy for all areas, students interested in scholarships must complete an audition and interview to qualify.

Although registration is encouraged, students and their families are welcome to attend without pre-registering. Tours of WVU and the Creative Arts Center will be available throughout the afternoon.
