Residential contractors and homeowners can learn to eliminate potential fall hazards when constructing, renovating or remodeling residential property during free classes in February offered by West Virginia University Safety and Health Extension.

At each class, faculty will cover common hazards requiring fall protection. Three sessions, each running from 9 a.m.-noon, are planned on Monday, Feb. 19, in Morgantown at WVU Safety and Health Extension; Thursday, Feb. 22, in South Charleston at Wingate Hotel; and Tuesday, Feb. 27, in Martinsburg at Comfort Inn.

The classes meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for fall protection training. Cards and certificates will be provided to participants completing each class.

All classes are open to the public, but pre-registration is required.

Seating at each three-hour class is limited. To reserve a seat, call Missy Stewart at WVU Safety and Health Extension, 800-626-4748.
