An alumna of West Virginia Universitys Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry and Consumer Sciences has returned to the college to guide its recruitment efforts. Amber Hines, a 2000 graduate of the Recreation, Parks and Tourism Resources program, began her new role Jan. 17.

Being a graduate of the Davis College, I have experienced first-hand the support and enthusiasm for education that is fostered by the faculty and staff,Hines said.

She joins the Davis College after six years as an admissions counselor for WVU . During her time with New Student Services, Hines was promoted to the rank of senior admissions counselor and telecounseling supervisor, and also coordinated the National Alumni Recruiting Network from 2002 to 2005.

Hines will apply skills developed with New Student Services to spreading the word about the Davis Colleges rich variety of undergraduate majors, minors and graduate programs.

Im excited,Hines said.I had such a great experience here, and I want to share that with prospective students.
