Looking for a last-minute holiday present for children?

There is still time to order gift certificates for healthy kidsprograms from the West Virginia Motor Development Center at West Virginia Universitys School of Physical Education.

With gift certificates, children can enjoy gym and pool programs. Activities include playing parachute games; learning skills like balance, throwing and catching; and practicing swimming skills with a certified water instructor while taking part in games, songs and much more.

Classes are open to childrenranging in age from 3 months old to 11from Morgantown and surrounding communities. They will be held in Room 132 at the WVU Coliseum, with some activities in other areas of the Evansdale athletic complex and Elizabeth Moore Hall (across from the Mountainlair on the Downtown Campus).

Classes begin Jan. 26 and continue through April. The registration deadline is Jan. 15.

In addition to these activities, parents, schools and groups can book aChoosy Celebrationto celebrate birthdays, milestones, accomplishments or life in general. AChoosy Celebrationincludes a special visit fromChoosy,the Motor Development Centers mascot for healthy life choices. Groups of up to 25 children spend two hours in the gym or pool at Elizabeth Moore Hall and enjoy age-appropriate games, songs and activities.

Holiday gift certificates are only available through Friday, Dec. 22. Those interested should call 304-293-3295 ext. 5250 to make an appointment for pickup.
