West Virginia University lecturer Jason Thomas was recently named to the LexisNexis Law Enforcement Advisory Board.

Thomas is a lecturer in WVU s Department of Political Science, where he teaches classes on intelligence analysis and warfare. He also serves as deputy program manager for the National Cyber Forensics and Training Alliance.

“I am very happy to assist LexisNexis in its endeavor to understand and address the challenges faced by the law enforcement community,Thomas said.WVU has a unique opportunity to help guide a thought leader in the law enforcement industry, and I am honored to participate.

The advisory board will meet annually and was created to assist LexisNexis to better understand the unique needs and challenges of law enforcement. The board will help accelerate the development of comprehensive solutions to address the most complex and challenging crime issues.

Thomas earned his masters in criminal justice from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2003.
